GREENDALE, Wisconsin (WISN) — Brewers fans lined up hours ahead of Christian Yelich’s appearance at Raising Cane’s in Greendale on Monday, with the first fans arriving at 11 p.m. Sunday night to secure their spots.
Milwaukee Brewers captain Christian Yelich worked the front counter and drive-thru at Raising Cane’s in Greendale on Monday, celebrating the team’s first World Series championship with fans.
Yelich’s celebratory “shift” was from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Monday at the restaurant at 5250 S. 76th St. He served chicken finger meals and lemonade, joined the restaurant crew in the kitchen and addressed fans from an outdoor stage.
Yelich does have some past experience.
“One time, at Chick-fil-A with like Brewers Community Foundation, something similar to this, it was pretty fun. It moves fast and gets pretty chaotic if you don’t know what your doing,” Yelich said.
The event was open to the public, but it was not an official meet-and-greet. Select fans in line may have the opportunity to be served by Yelich at the counter or drive-thru.
The Brewers clinched their first World Series title with a 4–1 victory in Game 5, winning the series four games to one. The championship brought Milwaukee its first World Series title since the Milwaukee Braves won in 1957.
Yelich’s appearance continues a Raising Cane’s tradition of celebrating baseball champions, following similar shifts by Kiké Hernández in 2024 and Will Smith in 2025.
