Santa Maria Police investigate shooting

SANTA MARIA, Calif. (KEYT) – The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened just after 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the 700 block of South Western.
SMPD officers found a 40-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and helped him to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment.
SMPD officers heard gunshots but could not locate a suspect. The investigation remains ongoing and those with more information are asked to contact the SMPD.
