Crunch Fitness holds 9/11 remembrance
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) – As part of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, one local gym is honoring the first responders and victims who lost their lives.
Crunch Fitness hosted a 110-flight stair climb challenge symbolizing the first responders at the World Trade Center.
Crunch members and community members came together throughout the day to participate in the challenge.
General Manager Mike Martinez said the challenge is a good reminder to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11.
“It’s important. You said it yourself, it’s a community. And we want to kind of showcase that we were affected too. All of us in unison. We all still remember, we all still want to be connected somehow, someway,” Martinez explained.
Yuma’s Crunch Fitness was one of 106 locations across the country to participate in the challenge with an estimate of 5,000 to 8,000 participants.
The best part is: You don’t have to be a member if you want to participate.
