ARCO, Idaho (KIFI) — Butte County School District administration is reassuring parents after a toy gun caused brief anxiety during lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
In a letter sent to families, district officials explained that a student brought a small, plastic action-figure gun to school and showed it to classmates. Nearby students jokingly yelled, “He’s got a gun!” which may have caused concern among the other students.
“We want to make families aware that this incident occurred and is being handled by administration, and there is no danger or threat to the students or the school,” the district stated in the letter.
