Rising with Red Foundation to host domestic violence support fundraiser
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) – A new local nonprofit is bringing the Yuma community together this weekend to honor victims of domestic and support survivors through a community fundraiser.
The Rising With Red Foundation, founded by Bailey Ray, will host the event Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at West Wetlands Park.
The fundraiser aims to raise awareness of domestic violence while standing in support of women, children and men affected by abuse.
In addition, the event will include a donation drive collecting hygiene products, food and candy to help support the community.
Ray said the goal is to raise awareness and remind survivors that they do not have to face life’s challenges alone.
“I just want to share this awareness and cause because, my life motto is no one deserves to do life alone. So come as you are. Dress up, just be happy and come say hello,” Ray said.
Community members are encouraged to attend, show their support and contribute to the donation drive.
