LINGER, Wisconsin (WISN) — At 11 years old, Bennett Rahlf already knows what it feels like to win a baseball championship.

The Slinger boy plays for the Richfield Rage, which won its championship this year after losing in the title game the year before.

So when Rahlf met Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski at a Wisconsin Parkinson Association meet-and-greet earlier this year, he was eager to show off his championship ring.

“He thought it was pretty cool. And he said hopefully we’ll get one this year,” Rahlf said.

The moment took on new meaning as the Brewers advanced through the postseason, punching their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 1982. The ’82 Brewers wouldn’t take the title that year. Instead, losing to the St. Louis Cardinals.

For Rahlf, the connection is especially meaningful because his team’s championship run followed a similar path. The Richfield Rage lost in the championship game in 2025. This year, they returned to the title game and won.

Rahlf said he hopes the Brewers can make a comeback of their own and finish the season with a championship ring.

“Keep your head high. Like don’t get down on yourself,” Rahlf said. “I mean, you swept the Dodgers, so they’re probably scared, the Rays, because the Dodgers are really good.”

Rahlf’s younger brother, Gavin, is also a baseball player and Brewers fan.

Now, the brothers and their family will be watching to see whether Misiorowski’s prediction comes true — and whether the Brewers can add a championship ring of their own.
