Head Trip suspends Saturday show amid severe weather threat; Sunday scheduled to open at 3:00pm
UPDATE, 9:40 PM, Oct. 10th: Head Trip announced just before 9:30 p.m. the show will not resume Saturday night due to continued lightning. Sunday’s schedule is set to start with gates opening at 3:00pm according to the Head Trip website.
UPDATE, 9:15 PM, Oct. 10th: Head Trip officials announced via its mobile app the festival was being suspended amid the threat of severe weather.
INDIO, Calif. (KESQ) — Tropical Storm Rachel is forcing changes to today’s festival schedule due to expected lightning.
“We’re adjusting today’s schedule due to expected lightning,” Head Trip posted on Instagram this afternoon. Doors opened at 4:00 p.m. with the end of the night planned for 11:00 p.m.
This is an earlier schedule, as headliner Calvin Harris was initially slated to begin at 11 p.m.
