18th annual Cut For The Cause event held in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) – The 18th annual Cut for the Cause sponsored by Sheltra Insurance was held at Divas Hair Studio.
Participants were asked to donate eight-inches or more to help create wigs for cancer patients and in return received a free basic haircut.
The annual event in its 18th year has seen more participants and volunteers as the community continues to show support. Food and drinks were provided while people waited to get their donation haircut.
Event organizer Jessie Sheltra not only organizes the event, she participates and donates her hair as well.
She said she is very thankful for the continued community support and looks forward to holding the event for many more years to come.
Women children and even men participated in todays event. All hair donations from the event go directly to making wigs for cancer patients.
