Police investigate after human skeletal remains discovered in Omaha park

    OMAHA, Nebraska (KETV) — An off-duty police officer found human skeletal remains while doing volunteer work at an Omaha park.

According to a news release from OPD, the off-duty officer was in Hummel Park on Saturday just before 10 a.m. doing volunteer trash cleanup.

An investigation has been launched, and authorities are working to identify the remains.
