Police investigate death after welfare check in South-Central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — A welfare check led to a death investigation in South-Central El Paso Monday morning, according to the El Paso Police Department.
EPPD said officers went to E Paisano Drive and El Paso Drive at 7:07 a.m. for a welfare check. That’s near the Fox Plaza shopping center. The Crimes Against Persons Unit is now investigating a death.
Police didn’t share any other information at this time.
