SLO Fire Department put out structure fire early Sunday

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (KEYT) – The San Luis Obispo Fire Department put out a house fire just before 6:30 a.m. at 1118 Chorro Street Sunday.
SLOFD crews found a small fire at a business and quickly put it out before heavy smoke found the apartments above the area.
SLOFD crews alongside the SLO Police Department evacuated 39 apartments as a precaution and noone was injured in the fire.
The fire occurred at the Wineman Hotel building and SLOFD investigators are searching for the fire’s cause.
