Portland declares September 25th as Dolly Parton Day to honor her legacy

OREGON (KTVZ) — People all over are remembering Dolly Parton today, September 25th: “Nine Two Five.”
September 25th has been declared Dolly Parton Day in Portland, one of several cities across the country recognizing the country music icon and her legacy of giving.
The Dollywood Foundation is also calling today Give Like Dolly Day, encouraging support for Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides free books to children.
Today also marks one month since Sarton died at age 80.
Fans are remembering her legacy of music and philanthropy here in Oregon and around the world.
