DP extends win streak to 11 games with shutout against rival San Marcos
GOLETA, Calif. (KEYT) – Dos Pueblos has been “zeroing in” on their opponents all season long.
For the seventh time this year the Chargers record a shutout as they blanked rival San Marcos 21-0 to to run their win streak to 11 games.
The pass-catch combination of seniors Ruby Streatfeild and Brooklyn Hedricks combined for all three touchdowns as DP improves to 14-2 on the year and 3-0 in the Channel League.
The Royals had some nice possessions behind quarterback Victoria Aldana and receiver Pipper Kittle but San Marcos just could not finish off their drives in the red zone. DP ‘s Tabby Weller had an interception in the end zone.
San Marcos lost freshman standout receiver Bella Bazylewicz late in the first half as she was hurt trying to catch a pass down the sidelines. She has helped off the field with an apparent leg injury.
