ISP seeks driver after Sunday night hit-and-run crashes two in Island Park

ISLAND PARK, Idaho (KIFI) — Idaho State Police are asking for help in identifying the driver of a pickup truck involved in a crash that left two people injured Sunday night in Island Park.

According to ISP, the crash happened around 8 p.m. on U.S. Highway 20.

Investigators say a red Chevrolet Silverado was attempting to pass illegally in a three-lane section of the highway, creating a near head-on collision with an oncoming Subaru. In an effort to avoid the pickup, the Subaru left the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled over.

Idaho State Police are seeing the driver of this red Chevrolet Silverado.

The two people inside the Subaru were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers say the driver of the Silverado did not stop and left the scene.
