Man dies after being rescued from the Snake River
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – A local elderly man has died after falling into the Snake River.
At approximately 5:20 PM, Idaho Falls Police received an emergency call that an individual was in the water along the west bank of the Snake River.
Emergency responders from the Idaho Falls Fire Department Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Idaho Falls Police arrived quickly and retrieved the man from the water.
They performed life-saving measures on the scene before the man was transported to a local hospital.
Idaho Falls Police confirmed that the man did not survive and is investigating the incident as a potential suicide.
