Black Butte Ranch police step up traffic enforcement to improve road safety

BLACK BUTTE RANCH, Ore. (KTVZ) — Right now, Black Butte Ranch police are stepping up traffic enforcement efforts to help keep roadways safe.
Over the past few weeks, officers have made numerous traffic stops, issued citations, and given warnings for traffic violations and other safety concerns.
The department says it’s focused on reducing dangerous driving and improving compliance with traffic laws.
Officers are also reminding drivers about the dangers of impaired driving. That includes driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or other impairing substances.
Police are encouraging drivers to plan ahead, designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service, or find another safe way home.
