Staying safe on roads during the holiday weekend

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — In general, fatal car crashes spike on weekends, according to the National Safety Council. But that number increases during extended holiday weekends.
This year, the council anticipates between 375 and 496 fatal crashes will occur over the Labor Day weekend.
In an effort to keep you safe, News Channel 3 spoke with an expert to hear her tips for getting on the road this weekend — regardless of how far you’re traveling.
