Coachella Valley businesses prepare for Labor Day weekend crowds

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) – Businesses across the Coachella Valley are preparing for a busy Labor Day weekend as visitors and residents head out for the holiday.

Restaurants, shops and other local businesses are adjusting staffing, stocking up and getting ready for what many hope will be a strong weekend.

For some businesses, Labor Day can provide an important boost heading into the fall season, making the holiday weekend an early test of how much foot traffic the valley will see.

News Channel 3 is speaking with local business owners Friday about how they are preparing, what they are expecting from customers and just how optimistic they are about the holiday crowds.
