COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man was indicted by a federal grand jury in a fatal overdose case, according to a Wednesday press release from the Department of justice.

Bryan Isiah Thomas, 37, is charged with multiple counts of distributing fentanyl and a count of distributing drugs resulting in death. He is being held at the Cole County Jail without bond.

The release says he was previously charged in July. A superseding indictment alleges he distributed fentanyl multiple times in Cole County in March, with one resulting in someone’s death.

Court filings show he exercised his right to a speedy trial and has a pretrial conference scheduled for Feb. 16, 2027, while the trial is expected to start March 15, 2027.
