Northeast El Paso residents react to woman killed in stabbing, suspect in custody.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — A woman in her mid-30s died in a stabbing in Northeast El Paso on Tuesday, according to the El Paso Police Department. EPPD said another woman in her 30s is in custody.
According to EPPD Officer Adrian Cisneros, it happened around 11 a.m. at 4980 Sean Haggerty Dr. That’s at the Patriot Palms apartments near the the U.S. 54.
Officer Cisneros said the victim died after being sent to the hospital, and said the apartment complex will be closed off as they investigate.
Residents of the Patriot Palms apartment complex, where the scene took place, were not happy by El Paso Police closing off all entrances to the property to undergo their investigation.
Upending those like David and Heather Brown, new residents who moved to the complex from New Jersey to be near their grandchildren, according to them.
Officer Cisneros said anyone with information about the stabbing should call police or the Crime Stoppers at (915)566-TIPS(8477) or through its tip form.
