San Marcos opens girls volleyball season with 4-set loss to Mission Prep

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – There will be growing pains for San Marcos girls volleyball but the Royals showed potential as well in a season-opening home loss to Mission Prep of San Luis Obispo.
In a battle of the Royals the visitors prevailed 25-16, 25-8, 20-25, 25-11.
San Marcos graduated all 15 players from last year’s team that went undefeated in the Channel League.
San Marcos is back in action this coming Tuesday in Arroyo Grande.
Mission Prep plays right away as they host Santa Barbara on Thursday.
