Arian Eteghaei sentenced to 30 years to life for sexually assaulting multiple victims

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office announced a 30-year-to-life sentence for Arian Eteghaei after he sexually assaulted multiple victims as a UCSB student.
A jury convicted Eteghaei on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, two felony sexual assault offenses of forcible rape and forcible sexual penetration, and the special allegation of multiple victims.
Eteghaei also received another felony charge on Jan. 16, 2026, after he attempted to escape law enforcement custody at the Santa Barbara Courthouse in a felony complaint filed on March 11.
