Weak tornado confirmed in Osage Co. from last Friday’s storms
The National Weather Service in St. Louis has confirmed three short-lived tornadoes in Missouri from Friday evening’s severe weather, including a weak tornado in Osage County.
The tornado touched down at 5:59 about 3 miles southeast of Chamois and traveled about half a mile before lifting.
The tornado was confirmed by radar data and video sent in from a local resident. It was rated EF-0 with winds of up to 85 mph.
Another tornado touched down shortly before that in Oak Hill in Crawford County and was on the ground for less than one minute, traveling only a few hundredths of a mile. It was rated EF-U.
An EF-1 tornado touched down later in the evening in St. Francois County and was on the ground for about 0.77 miles. That tornado had maximum winds of 96 mph near the town of Frankclay.
