ISLA VISTA, Calif. (KEYT) – After years of searching for room to grow, Friendship Manor has found a new site where it hopes to build its future home.
The longtime senior community is planning a move after an apartment project it had been pursuing became too expensive to build. That unexpected setback led to a new opportunity and a partnership in Isla Vista that leaders believe better meets the organization’s long-term needs.
The proposed location is being designed with older adults in mind while preserving the close-knit community that residents value.
