Bend North Little League hosts Junior League Baseball West Region tournament
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Junior League Baseball West Region Tournament is underway in Bend, bringing some of the top state champion teams in the West to Central Oregon.
Teams from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Northern and Southern California, Utah and Oregon are competing at Caldera High School through July 30. The double-elimination tournament continues over the next several days, with the winner advancing to the Junior League Baseball World Series in Taylor, Michigan.
For Bend North Little League, the host team, the tournament is another chance to build on a strong tradition of success. The program has celebrated multiple state titles and deep postseason runs in recent years, including a World Series appearance in 2023 and back-to-back state championships at the 10U and 11U levels.
