‘Braver Angels’ Visits Orcutt To Take On Political Divide & Host Civil Discourse
ORCUTT, Calif. (KEYT) – The decade-old nation-wide non-profit “Braver Angels” is hosting a roundtable discussion at the Oasis Center in Orcutt this evening.
The organization is aimed at bridging the partisan divide and strengthening the democratic republic we live in.
The workshop is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the center on Soares Road in Orcutt and the public is encouraged to attend–parents bring your kids, kids bring your parents.
This event is part of Braver Angels’ efforts as the largest nationwide, grassroots organization of volunteers dedicated to depolarizing political conversations.
Tonight’s workshop is designed to teach skills for constructive dialogue and finding accurate disagreement among individuals with differing views.
The workshop will demonstrate practical skills for depolarizing discussions.
Braver Angels was founded in 2016 by two individuals from opposing political viewpoints.
The organization has since grown to more than 15,000 members, making it the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement working to bridge political divides.
The Braver Angels Board of Directors and Advisory Council include state governors, representatives from Congress and leadership from several universities and national organizations, all advocating for civil discourse.
Refreshments will be served at the workshop.
