KIDS CuddleKit Closet receives grant to expand pediatric program

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) – A local nonprofit in Yuma has received a grant Monday to expand its pediatric program.
KIDS CuddleKit Closet provides children admitted to the hospital with CuddleKits. These items include activity items, pillows, blankets and stuffed animals as it will help make hospital stays more comfortable.
The nonprofit said it’s honored to receive a $30,000 grant from AgWest Farm Credit.
They said the funding will help expand its pediatric program to include two additional hospitals expected to open in the near future in South County.
“The KIDS CuddleKit Closet board and staff are very appreciative that AgWest even considered us for this grant,” said Veronica Cabrales, Director of KIDS CuddleKit Closet. “This grant will be used to provide CuddleKits to all the children admitted to the hospitals, and it will also provide much-needed marketing materials.”
The nonprofit said the grant will help it reach more children in the community and continue its mission of bringing comfort to young patients during their hospital stays.
