COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) – A local woman nearly lost her home by signing documents on her phone. Then News Channel 3 got results.

Now the case is sparking action from lawmakers.

“They prey on your fear,” Assemblymember Greg Wallis said.
