Car goes over embankment at Alameda Padre Serra

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – A car went over the embankment at Alameda Padre Serra in Santa Barbara just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.
A News Channel viewer at the scene sent in photos of several emergency personnel inspecting a white SUV in the embankment after damage to its front side.
The Santa Barbara Police Department found the solo driver in the car and learned the driver was not injured in the crash.
A tow truck helped pull the car out and Alameda Padre Serra remained closed until 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
DUI is not believed to be a factor in the crash and the incident remains under investigation, according to the SBPD.
