WESTBOROUGH, Massachusetts (WCVB) — Ashlyn Mercier temporarily traded her badge for a tiara over the weekend when she was crowned Miss Massachusetts.

Mercier was born and raised in Oxford and works for the Westborough Police Department as a patrol officer.

“Officer by day, Miss Massachusetts by title, and making the rest of us look bad 24/7,” the department wrote in a social media post. “Congratulations, Officer Mercier!”
