POWELL BUTTE, Ore. (KTVZ) —According to the Crook County Sheriff’s Office, the Lone Pine Fire, which was burning northwest of Powell Butte, is now 100% contained.

The Crook County Sheriff’s Office said the brush fire sparked just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The agency says multiple abandoned motor homes, as well as juniper trees and grass, were burning when they arrived on scene.

They determined the cause to be from a resident using a metal cutting wheel on their property. The resident lost control of the fire and it spread quickly.
