A 6-year-old girl dies after trailer incident near Suttle Lake

JEFFERSON COUNTY (KTVZ) — A 6-year-old girl has died after being struck by a trailer near Suttle Lake in Jefferson County, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
KTVZ News can confirm the child died as a result of her injuries after a trailer being pulled by a truck struck her.
The incident happened Saturday May 23rd, in the Deschutes National Forest, near a popular recreation area in Central Oregon.
Details remain limited as authorities continue to investigate.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the case is an active and ongoing investigation. More information is expected in a press release scheduled for Tuesday.
