RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (KESQ) – With Election Day just one day away, Riverside County officials are preparing to protect voters, election workers, and ballots as residents head to the polls Tuesday.

From security at voting locations to the handling and counting of ballots, election officials are working to ensure the voting process remains safe, secure, and transparent.

Among the key areas of focus are safeguards at the Riverside County Registrar of Voters’ Office, security procedures at vote centers, and the role of election observers who monitor the voting and ballot-counting process.

Election observers play a role in maintaining transparency, but there are rules governing what they can and cannot do. Observers are not permitted to interfere with election operations or intimidate voters.
