Iconic Halloween display above Highway 24 welcomes field trip for neurodivergent children
CASCADE, Colo. (KRDO) – In October, Kevin Holt’s house is impossible to miss for drivers headed through Cascade up Highway 24.
His massive skeletons dwarf the cars below, and his “Haunted Forest” is a must-stop for kids and families on Halloween.
For Holt, though, the most magical day of the season came four days before his favorite spooky holiday.
For five years now, Holt has partnered with the RiseUp school in Colorado Springs to host a field trip and free pumpkin patch for the children.
RiseUp is a school specifically for children with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). Holt hosts them each year, creating a special memory for both the children and their families.
