BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Bend is getting 25 new homes as part of a statewide affordable housing investment.

Oregon Housing and Community Services approved funding for 480 affordable rental homes and 36 homes for purchase across the state.

In Bend, the funding will support new homeownership opportunities.

The state says the investments are also supporting new apartments and preserving existing affordable housing in several Oregon communities.

The Housing Stability Council also approved the last available funding for a program expanding affordable, accessible rental housing for older Oregonians.
