Pedestrian killed in crash Tuesday morning in Joshua Tree

JOSHUA TREE, Calif. (KESQ) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Joshua Tree.
The crash was reported just after 4:35 a.m. on State Route 62 near Rice Avenue.
CHP officers responded and began life-saving measures until emergency medical arrived on scene, however, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
His identity is withheld pending notification to next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
