International Walk + Roll to School Day set for Wednesday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Students and families across Central Oregon are encouraged to get moving Wednesday for International Walk + Roll to School Day.

The annual event is set for Wednesday, October 7, and encourages students to choose an active way to get to school.

Participants can:

Walk with a group Ride a bike Ride a scooter

Organizers say the event is a fun way for students and families to be active while connecting with their community.

Participants are reminded to have fun and stay safe while walking, biking or scooting to school.
