WEST CHICAGO, Illinois (WLS) — Two former suburban police officers now face charges for allegedly misusing Flock license plate reader cameras, the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office said on Monday.

The ABC7 I-Team previously reported that Itasca police were investigating unauthorized use of the technology.

Now, prosecutors say former Itasca Police Officer Marisa Ciccola and former West Chicago Police Officer Gerardo Solis conducted unauthorized searches of Illinois license plates.

Ciccola, 30, is charged with 13 counts of Official Misconduct and eight counts of Computer Tampering. Solis, 39, is charged with one count of Official Misconduct and one count of Computer Tampering.

Both former officers turned themselves in on Monday and are due in court on Nov. 16.
