OLATHE, Kansas (KMBC) — Over the weekend, a poll showed the U.S. Senate race in Kansas between U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton was neck and neck.
Now, the Cook Political Report considers the race a toss-up.
The New York Times poll over the weekend had both Marshall and Hamilton with 45 percent of the vote.
A recent poll released by Trafalgar Group has the race tied at 44-44. An Emerson College poll taken in mid-September showed Hamilton with a two-point advantage, while a co/efficient poll taken in early September showed a five-point Marshall lead.
The RealClearPolitics average has Marshall ahead by one point.
President Trump won the state all three times, including a 16-point victory back in 2024.
Kansas has not elected a Democratic senator since 1932.
