One in stable condition following plane crash in Yuma County

UPDATE (11:59 AM): The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on the crash.

YCSO said the crash happened before 8:20 a.m., and said upon arrival, deputies found the pilot responsive inside a “civilian single-engine two-passenger aircraft.”

Rural Metro, according to YCSO, arrived on scene, and took the pilot, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, to Onvida Health.

The crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE (11:09 AM): According to a witness who spoke with News 11, the plane was flying around, making maneuvers for 20 minutes until it crashed.

The witness said he and his co-workers helped the pilot out of the plane and waited until first responders arrived.

In addition, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is still on scene investigating the crash.

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA) – The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) said one person is in stable condition following a plane crash in Yuma County.

YCSO said the crash happened before 9 a.m. Monday in the area of W. County 12th Street and S. Avenue G.

YCSO also said the aircraft was a single person non-agricultural aircraft, and said one person was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
