INKOM, Idaho (KIFI) — One person is dead following a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck along southbound Interstate 15 outside Inkom on Thursday evening.
According to Lt. Todd Orr of the Idaho State Police, the crash happened near milepost 60. The response began around 6:14 p.m. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
As of Thursday night, all southbound lanes of I-15 remain blocked, according to Idaho511. Drivers are being told to expect delays and avoid the area due to backed-up traffic.
“We still have multiple troopers out there, and it’s going to be bogged down for a while for cleanup,” said Orr.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
