School bus crash triggers mass casualty response in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTBS) — Emergency crews are responding to a major crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in Shreveport.
Caddo Parish 911 dispatchers received a mass casualty call around 7:40 a.m. following a collision near the intersection of Peach Street and Freddie Street.
The Shreveport Fire Department has dispatched 27 units to the scene to assess injuries and render immediate aid.
Details regarding the number of passengers on board or the extent of injuries are not yet available. Drivers are urged to avoid the area to allow emergency responders clear access to the intersection.
