OMAHA, Nebraska (KETV) — The Omaha Fire Department is prepared for any emergency on a daily basis.
But last week, a lost ferret came through their front door.
It was at Fire Station No. 5, near 22nd Street and Florence Boulevard, just north of Creighton University.
Officials said the pet ferret walked into the laundry room and set up camp.
Firefighters were able to corral him, and they dubbed him “Ferret Bueller.”
Firefighters then worked with the Nebraska Humane Society to reunite him with his owners.
However, they said he’s always welcome to visit.
