United Yuma Firefighters held annual Bowling tournament
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) – The United Yuma Firefighters (UYF) held a charity bowling tournament over the weekend.
Teams competed Sunday at Inca Lanes bowling alley for a good cause.
UYF, along with friends and family, gathered to raise money to support local families and firefighters and others in need in the community.
The bowling was competitive but was all in the name of fun for a good cause.
UYF Charity Director Nick Rico said it was a fun way for the firefighters to raise money and give back all while having a good time.
“It’s a for fun non-sanctioned event just kinda get people from the community out, we give money back to you know, local families, firefighters just others you know in need in the community. It’s not just donating money we actually donate man hours and labor we help people out, that you know physically can’t do things, you know, so its a good feeling,” said Rico.
UYF continue to give back to the local community and look forward to another successful event next year.
