Monte Vista Elementary Students Expand Environmental Projects Across Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – A student-led environmental club at Monte Vista Elementary School is marking its first year by expanding projects beyond campus in Santa Barbara.
The Clean and Green Club has spent the past year involving students in efforts focused on keeping school grounds cleaner.
Students are also building environmental awareness.
Now members are working on new projects both at school and in the surrounding community.
The expansion gives students a chance to take what they have learned on campus and put it into action across Santa Barbara.
