Yuma man pleads guilty in burglary case

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) – A Yuma man has pleaded guilty in connection with a series of nine burglaries on Fourth Avenue.

Guillermo Torres, 52, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary. The first count carries a 3.5-year prison sentence while the second carries four years of probation.

Ten other charges involving criminal damage, theft and burglary were dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Torres is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
