Star on the Mountain to shine silver for Metallica’s concert
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — Continuing a tradition of welcoming performing artists, El Paso’s Star on the Mountain will shine silver Wednesday for Metallica’s upcoming concert at the Sun Bowl Stadium.
The El Paso Chamber and Live Nation partnered to change the star’s color. The two previously partnered to change the star’s lights to commemorate anticipated concerts. For example, the star shone purple for K-pop band BTS and rainbow for Coldplay.
Metallica is coming to the Sun City on May 18, 2027. The University of Texas at El Paso Office of Special Events announced the concert on Wednesday. Limp Bizkit and Avatar will headline MEtallica’s M72 World Tour ’72.
General admission tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
