Range Line Street motel murder suspect indicted by Boone County grand jury

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man accused of killing a woman at a motel on Range Line Street in Columbia last month was indicted by a grand jury on Friday.

Nicholas Ayres, 35, of Crane, Missouri, is charged in Boone County with first-degree domestic assault and second-degree murder in the death of Destiny Dunn, 37, of Kansas City.

Ayres is accused of beating Dunn to death at the By The Way Motel on Aug. 12.

Police allegedly found video on Ayres’ cellphone that showed him abusing Dunn.

He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond. An arraignment was held on Monday. His next court date was not filed online.
