Four Athlete of the Week awards were handed out at SB Athletic Round Table luncheon
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – It was a busy luncheon at Harry’s as four Athlete of the Week awards were handed out by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table. There was no luncheon last week due to Labor Day so there were double the honors this week.
The two girls awards went to San Marcos High School flag football freshman Bella Bazylewicz and Santa Barbara High School volleyball senior Paylin Marcillac.
The boys awards were captured by Laguna Blanca High School junior wide receiver Jaden Yanez and Dos Pueblos High School water polo senior Lucas Neushul.
(Bella Bazylewicz totaled 4 touchdowns, 2 receiving td’s and 2 punt return scores, in a 4-game stretch).
(Jaden Yanez caught 5 touchdown passes in the Owls lopsided win over Cuyama Valley).
(Paylin Marcillac totaled 44 digs and 8 aces in the Dons wins against Dos Pueblos and Ventura).
(Lucas Neushul tallied a game-high 9 goals including all 4 of his team’s goals in overtime in a 17-16 championship game win against Laguna Beach at the Santa Barbara Invitational).
