How prepared is the Coachella Valley for the next major earthquake?

PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) – September is National Preparedness Month, and emergency officials are urging Californians to think now about what they would do when the ground starts shaking.
But here in the Coachella Valley, local cities are also taking new steps to prepare residents for a large-scale disaster.
News Channel 3 is speaking with emergency officials about what residents may not realize about earthquake preparedness and the plans being put in place locally before the next major emergency.
